Tig and Donn started Forest Metrix together in 2012, creating the first generally-usable timber cruise application that also runs on iPhones and iPads. Urban Forest Metrix, an application designed for arborists doing tree inventories came a couple years later. Hundreds of businesses and dozens of governments rely on the software for efficient and accurate forest measurement.

Donn is a consulting forester and frequent speaker at forestry workshops and conferences. He lives in West Thetford with his wife, two teens and a forest-running mutt.

Tig Tillinghast

Urban Forestry Lead

Tig comes from a long line of forest workers, extending back to the 1860s. He worked in his dad’s lumber yard through his childhood before a career of running large interactive agencies and database startups. He lives in Thetford Center, VT with his wife, a bad brittany and two kids.

Théo Collin

Developer

Théo, a French national, lives and works in Costa Rica and handles complex code integrations between different systems and platforms, often involving communications via open standards over the Internet.

Robert Turner

Developer

Robert is a go-to guy in New England for mensuration and programming. He does carbon auditing, complex forestry analytics, and just about anything that makes people’s heads hurt.
